MidSummer is a five-piece OPM band from Davao Oriental, Philippines, known for their heartfelt songwriting, melodic arrangements, and emotionally driven performances. Formed in 2018, the band began as a show band before establishing themselves in the Davao music scene and eventually developing their own identity as an original act. The current lineup consists of Julie Anne Pesaña (lead vocals), Florence John Bagcal (keyboards and vocals), John Michael Cortez (bass), John Bryan Bagcal (drums), and Josiah Rios (lead guitar). Their music blends modern pop, indie pop, rock, and jazz influences, combining memorable melodies, atmospheric instrumentation, and sincere storytelling. Drawing inspiration from contemporary OPM and artists such as Up Dharma Down and Sunkissed Lola, MidSummer creates music centered on vulnerability, melody, and authenticity.
