NEXTHIT FM was born from a simple frustration: incredibly talented Filipino independent artists were making world-class music — yet most of it never reached a real audience. Mainstream radio rarely spins unsigned OPM. Algorithms bury fresh voices under the same big names. And the artists pouring their savings into recording, mixing, and releasing a single had almost nowhere to actually be heard.

We built this online radio station to change that. NEXTHIT FM is a 24/7 stream dedicated entirely to Pinoy indie artists — the bedroom producers, the province-based bands, the solo songwriters, the genre-benders from Luzon to Mindanao and across the diaspora. No payola. No gatekeepers. Just original Filipino music, played in full, around the clock.

Every track in our rotation was submitted by the artist themselves or curated from the independent scene. We stream it live, we talk about it on air, and we give listeners a direct way to discover, request, and share the songs they love. When a listener hits "request," that song goes straight into the live queue. When an artist shares their profile, the whole world can click through and listen.

This is more than a radio station — it's a movement to put Filipino independent music on the map, one original song at a time. We believe the next big hit won't come from a label boardroom. It'll come from a garage in Cebu, a bedroom in Quezon City, a campus in Dumaguete. It's already out there. We just have to press play.
