Music has always come naturally to me through listening. I did not begin by trying to imitate a particular artist or follow a specific musical style. Most of the time, when I hear a song or melody, it continues playing in my mind. I find myself listening closely to the notes, chords, harmonies, and arrangement, then trying to tune them, recreate them, or play them by ear. That way of learning became a major part of my creative process. Rather than depending only on written music, I developed my musical ideas through listening, experimenting, and discovering how different sounds work together. Over time, this helped shape the way I compose and arrange my own music. One of the milestones in my songwriting journey came in 2018, when I submitted one of my original compositions to ABS-CBN's Himig Handog. Out of more than 5,000 entries, I was grateful that my song reached approximately the Top 800. For me, that achievement was more than a ranking—it was an encouragement to continue writing, learning, and developing my own sound. Today, much of my creative direction is focused on worship and inspirational music. My goal is not simply to create songs that sound good, but to create music that carries meaning, faith, encouragement, and a message that listeners can connect with. While my musical foundation was developed mainly through my own listening and experimentation, my current work has also been inspired by the sound, emotion, and musical approach of artists and groups such as Victory Worship, JROA, and Spring Worship. I appreciate the way they combine meaningful lyrics, memorable melodies, atmosphere, and emotion. My musical journey continues to evolve. I am still learning, experimenting, composing, and discovering new ways to translate the melodies I hear in my mind into music that others can hear and feel. For me, music begins with listening—but it becomes meaningful when it can express something from the heart.
